About product

Wheels SF-260, 1:48, CMK

A detailing resin set of replacement wheels, not a model of an aircraft. The wheels are cast with a fine tire texture and a weighted flat spot where they meet the ground, thanks to which the aircraft looks realistically settled on its landing gear. Intended for models of the Italian trainer SIAI-Marchetti SF-260.

Fitting tips

  • Wash the mold release agent off the parts and cut the casting blocks off.
  • Glue the wheels with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
  • Mind the correct rotation of the flattened part, which must face downward.
  • Wear respiratory protection while sanding.

Who the set is for

  • For modelers who want realistic wheels under load.
  • For builders used to working with resin.

The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.

FAQ

The tire is slightly flattened where it meets the ground, as though the wheel were carrying the weight of the aircraft. It looks more realistic than a perfect circle.

Cyanoacrylate glue; ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on resin.
