Cruiser Tank A9 CS (1:72, IBG) is a plastic kit of the British cruiser tank in the close support version from the beginning of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale captures the British A9 cruiser tank in the CS (Close Support) version, that is, the close fire support variant. The modern tooling from the Polish maker IBG reproduces the characteristic hull with its side machine gun turrets in detail.
The Cruiser Mk I (A9) was a British cruiser tank of the late 1930s, designed for fast and mobile fighting. The CS (Close Support) version carried a 3.7 inch howitzer instead of the anti-tank gun, intended above all for firing smoke shells in support of the other tanks. A9 vehicles were used in France in 1940 and in the opening campaigns in North Africa.
Liquid cement for plastic and careful assembly of the running gear and the tracks before the hull is closed work best. Paint the interior of the turret and of the hull before gluing them together. Flat shades, washes into the recesses and dry pigments for suggesting dust and mud suit the period look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
