This is not a model of the car but a detail set. It replaces the simplified drive shafts of the rear axle on models of the McLaren MP4/4 to MP4/8 single-seaters with more accurate metal and photo-etched parts. The result is a more faithful rear suspension and transition to the gearbox.
The drive shafts are clearly visible in the exposed rear end of a single-seater. The metal version looks finer than plastic and will take handling during the final assembly.
Clean up the photo-etched and turned metal parts, degrease them and glue them with super glue. Dry-fit before gluing and paint the parts to match the look of the particular car.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
