The Avia Ba.33 Metal Prop. 1:72 (Kovozavody Prostejov) is an injection-molded plastic kit of a Czechoslovak interwar aerobatic and training biplane.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Kovozavody Prostejov captures the Czechoslovak Avia Ba.33 biplane from the line derived from the legendary Avia fighters and trainers. The Metal Prop. release refers to the version with a metal propeller. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, with a decal sheet.
Avia was one of the leading aircraft manufacturers in interwar Czechoslovakia and its BH and Ba series biplanes became known for their agility and their suitability for aerobatics. The Ba.33 followed on from proven designs with a radial engine and served, among other things, for training and display flying. It was a typical representative of the light biplanes of the 1930s, with an open cockpit and fabric covering.
On a biplane, take care to seat the upper wing and the struts accurately. Glue the plastic with a thin cement and clean the flash off the small parts. A suitable metallic will bring out both the metal propeller and the covered parts of the engine; stir it thoroughly and apply it over a smooth surface at the very end. Once the finish is on, add the bracing wires, and apply the colors over a primer.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
