A set of masking tapes from Omask for models of the Czechoslovak Avia S-199 fighter and its two-seat trainer version CS-199 in 1:72 scale. The masks are cut from kabuki tape, follow the canopy frames exactly and make a clean and fast spray job on the glazing easier. This is not an airplane model but an accessory.
The set does away with the laborious hand cutting of masking tape. The pre-cut parts peel off easily and sit exactly on the canopy frames, which gives crisp edges between the glazing and the frame. Kabuki tape holds well, follows curved shapes and leaves no adhesive behind once removed.
Transfer the masks with tweezers onto a clean and degreased canopy, press the edges down carefully and spray with an airbrush in thin coats so that the paint does not creep under the mask. Once the paint is dry, lift the masks off carefully.
This is an accessory, not a model on its own. The base kit and paints are not included in the package.
