Color three-dimensional interior elements from Kelik for kits of the Blohm and Voss BV 222 flying boat from Revell in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Blohm and Voss BV 222 was a German six-engine flying boat of the Second World War, one of the largest machines of its category. It served for long-range transport and supply flights. The cockpit is extensively glazed and the deck is spacious, so on a finished model more of the inside is visible than on an ordinary aircraft, and a crudely finished interior will catch the eye there.
Color three-dimensional interior elements prepared for BV 222 kits from Revell in 1:72 scale. The artwork is layered and slightly raised, so the dial faces, the switches and the lettering stand out above the surrounding surface. The interior thereby gains depth without brush painting tiny instruments, which in 1:72 scale is work on the edge of patience.
First spray the surfaces under the elements with a base color and let them dry perfectly; the surface must be smooth, clean and degreased. Separate the elements with a sharp blade, transfer them with tweezers and press them down with a soft tool so that they settle into the corners and onto the edges of the panels. The method of application differs between the individual ranges, so follow the instructions from Kelik. Work one piece at a time and decide on the position in advance.
For a modeler who is building this large model and wants a legible interior behind the glazing. Even a less experienced builder can manage the work, but fine tweezers and good lighting come in handy. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
