The Aber 40 mm 2 pdr for the Matilda Mk.II, 1:72 is an accurate turned metal barrel that replaces the thin plastic part from the kit out of the box.

This is not a kit of a tank but an accurate accessory: a turned metal barrel in 1:72 scale that replaces the plastic barrel from the kit out of the box. It is made by Aber of Poland, a specialist in metal and photo-etched parts for modelers. The thin barrel of a 2-pounder gun is usually fragile and prone to bending in injection-molded parts in this scale; a metal replacement is perfectly straight and has a faithful profile.
The British 2-pounder gun of 40 mm caliber (the QF 2 pounder) was the standard tank and anti-tank weapon of the British army in the early phases of the Second World War. Among other places it was fitted in the Matilda Mk.II infantry tank, which made its name for thick armor in the fighting in North Africa.
Cut off the plastic barrel and clean it up, and adjust the mating surface to the diameter of the metal part. Glue the metal with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the surface before painting and lay down a primer suitable for metal, otherwise the paint holds badly. Fill the transition between metal and plastic if needed.
The accessory holds neither the model nor glue or paints; it serves to modify a kit bought separately.
