A set of miniature chests in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Firma49. The parts are made by high-resolution 3D printing (SLA) in resin. It is a diorama accessory, not a standalone model, meant for the smaller scale.
Chests and crates are among the universal props. Stacked in a corner, loaded on a vehicle or scattered about a scene, they create the impression of supply, of moving house or of a store. In 1:72 scale they help fill the space of a diorama with small but recognizable detail.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts. Remove the print supports carefully, as small parts at this scale call for extra attention, and clean the faces up with respiratory protection. They are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue. You capture the wood with filters and the fittings and straps with detail painting; a fine wash helps at the end.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
