MS Red 10ml

The color

A red shade from the range of paints put together for Gundam kits. In this range the abbreviation MS is used for the robots that the Gundam world calls Mobile Suits, so the shade is based on their usual coloring. You can use it anywhere else, though, where you need a clean red. Judge the exact appearance of the shade against the manufacturer's color chart and against the label; no name will replace the paint itself.

How to apply the paint

The paint belongs to the Mr.Color line of the Gunze brand. Use the thinner intended for this line and keep the thinning ratio and the method of application according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging; clean brushes and the airbrush with the same thinner. Stir the bottle thoroughly before work, otherwise the pigment will stay settled at the bottom and the shade will drift. Apply several thin coats with a pause instead of one heavy one, which fills the engraving and wipes out fine surface detail. Red tends to have little covering power, so it pays to lay it over a light base and to count on more coats.

Who it is for

It will be appreciated above all by builders of Gundam kits, where there are large continuous areas and the shade decides the overall impression. But it will also serve for repairs and for touching up small parts anywhere else. Work in a well-ventilated space and close the bottle carefully after taking paint out, so that it does not thicken.
