A color display board for a model with the deck motif of the American ship CVE-63 St. Lo. The load-bearing part is an acrylic sheet 3 mm thick measuring 280 x 180 mm, that is 28 x 18 cm, weighing 170 g. The model is simply stood on it; there is no need to glue it down or modify it in any way.
St. Lo was an American escort carrier of the Second World War, listed under the hull designation CVE-63. She was lost in the autumn of 1944 in the fighting off the Philippines. Escort carriers were neither large nor fast, but there were many of them and they did a good deal of work escorting convoys and supporting landings.
If the sheet is protected by a film, take it off only just before you display it, so that the surface does not get scratched. Wipe dust and fingerprints away with a soft dry cloth. Thinners and aggressive cleaners do not belong on acrylic; they dull it and can damage the motif. If you want to secure the model against shifting, use double-sided adhesive pads, which lift off without a trace.
For displaying a finished model on a shelf, in a display case and at a competition, where it gives the scene a piece of its setting without building a whole diorama. The package holds the display board only; the model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
