A separate decal set for models of the German fighter Focke-Wulf Fw 190 in the F-8 and A-8 versions in 1:72 scale. According to the name the subject is a Luftwaffe machine with an individual fuselage marking in the form of a black numeral two. The package holds decals, not a kit, so the model itself has to be at hand. Behind the set stands the Hungarian brand HAD models, which devotes itself to decals and modeling accessories.
The Fw 190 A-8 was the most numerously built fighter version of the Focke-Wulf. It was powered by a BMW 801 radial engine and, compared with the older batches, it was given strengthened armament and the ability to carry an auxiliary fuel tank. The F-8 version came from it, but was adapted for attacks on ground targets: it was given thicker armor around the pilot's area and the lower part of the fuselage and bomb racks, while part of the cannon armament in the wing was dropped. The ground-attack Fw 190 F served mainly on the Eastern Front, where they replaced the aging dive bombers, and flew from field airstrips in very hard conditions.
Fuselage numbers and crosses belong on a smooth and glossy base, otherwise a matte rim appears around the film. Soak the decal briefly in lukewarm water, let it release from the backing and slide it into place with a brush. On the Fw 190 pronounced panel lines run across the fuselage, so it pays to reach for a softener, which draws the film into the engraving. Once it is dry, varnish the model with a matte coat and the edges of the decals disappear completely.
