An injection-molded plastic kit of the American nuclear attack submarine USS Greeneville of the Los Angeles class in 1:700 scale from Hobby Boss. The model has a full hull, a low parts count in gray plastic and a display stand with a nameplate is in the box. It is a quick and straightforward build that also suits groups in a small scale.
The Los Angeles class is a numerous family of American nuclear attack submarines introduced from the 1970s. The boats carry out anti-submarine warfare, reconnaissance and strikes against land targets. USS Greeneville belongs to the later boats of this long series.
Thanks to the low parts count the build is quick; the main thing to watch is clean gluing and sanding of the parting seam of the hull. For painting use matte black or dark gray, a base primer and a matte clear coat. A light emphasis of the hatches and the keel will give the model depth in scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
