An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from ACE. The model captures the French EBR wheeled armored vehicle in the version with the FL-11 turret fitted with a 90 mm gun. The set holds plastic parts, a photo-etched fret and a decal sheet. The characteristic multi-axle chassis makes this short-run kit an interesting subject for collectors of wheeled equipment.
The EBR is a French heavy wheeled reconnaissance vehicle with an unusual eight-wheel layout, whose development goes back to a concept of the late 1930s and which matured into production form after the Second World War. The version with the FL-11 turret was given a more powerful 90 mm gun in place of its original armament. The vehicle served for many years with the French army and with other users as well.
Give attention to assembling the multi-axle running gear, which should be finished and painted before the rest of the build. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply the base with an airbrush over a primer; the broken surface comes out with a wash into the recesses and with dust pigments on the running gear. Apply the decals onto gloss varnish and unify the surface with matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The photo-etched parts are part of the set; glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package.
