This is a decal set for a model of the F-16D aircraft in 1:72 scale from the Kelik range. The sets of this range aim at the cockpit, that is at the place where the instrument panel and the side panels come from the factory as raised relief only, with no color. The colored elements give the cockpit its legibility without any need to fill in tiny areas laboriously with a brush. Go by the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with the set for the exact list of elements in the package.
The F-16D is the two-seat form of the single-engine F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter, with the seats one behind the other. The cockpit is therefore longer than on the single-seat version and holds a double set of instruments, which makes it all the more conspicuous on a model. A model of the two-seat machine therefore gains more from a well-worked cockpit than a model of the single-seat version, especially if the canopy stays open.
The method of application differs between the individual ranges, so check it in the manufacturer's instructions in advance. The base has to be dry, smooth and degreased, otherwise the element will not seat into the corners. The elements are seated before the fuselage is assembled, while the cockpit is still visible and comfortably within reach. Work with fine-tipped tweezers and apply the pressure from the center toward the edges. Once seated, leave the elements undisturbed to dry and do not touch them needlessly.
The model of the aircraft, paints, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
