Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary American two-seat McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II fighter in 1:72 scale from Italeri. The box covers the C, D and J versions deployed during the Vietnam War and offers decal schemes with the markings of famous aces of the US Air Force and the Navy. Clear plastic for the cockpit and external stores with drop tanks are usually included; check the exact contents and the number of schemes against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The F-4 Phantom II was among the most important combat aircraft of the Cold War. It was powered by a pair of General Electric J79 turbojets, and its two-man crew was a pilot and a weapons systems officer. In the C and D versions it served with the US Air Force (USAF), while the J version flew with the Navy (US Navy) and the Marine Corps. Over Vietnam it filled the role of fighter and fighter-bomber alike and became the machine on which American aces scored their kills against enemy MiGs.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with liquid cement for plastic, then sand the seams. Paint and shade the cockpit with its pair of seats before closing the fuselage. Lay a gloss coat on before the decals; the typical Southeast Asia camouflage combines green and brown tones with a light underside. Bring out the panel lines with a wash and add fine traces of service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
