Responsibility details are not available.
This short-run injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from Kovozavody Prostejov (KP) represents the Italian Fiat G.50bis Freccia fighter. This edition focuses on special, less usual markings and is supplemented with fine parts. Short-run tooling calls for somewhat more careful preparation and cleaning up of the parts, but the result is an attractive model of a less usual Italian subject.
The Fiat G.50 Freccia was one of the first all-metal monoplane fighters of the Regia Aeronautica with retractable landing gear and a radial engine. The G.50bis version brought a revised cockpit and improvements for better handling and visibility. Freccias served during the Second World War on several fronts and became one of the typical Italian fighters of their day.
With a short-run kit, count on dry-fitting the parts, sanding the seams and possibly reinforcing the joints. Glue with liquid cement for plastic and clean the fine parts up carefully. Apply a base primer and spray with an airbrush; Italian camouflage with its mottled patterns comes out best with an airbrush. Apply the special marking decals over gloss varnish, bring out the panel lines with a wash and even the surface out with a final coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
