The set adds guided stores to a model in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft or a kit of one; the offer deals purely with the armament under the wings.
The JDAM family came about as a kit that turns an ordinary unguided bomb into a weapon with satellite and inertial guidance. The extended-range form adds deployable wings to it, thanks to which the munitions glide after release and the carrier does not have to come so close to the target. It is precisely the folding surfaces that make these bodies a rewarding modeling subject, because on a pylon they look different from a classic bomb.
The thin surfaces are the most vulnerable place, so it is sensible to separate them last and to handle them with tweezers. The finish holds better on a surface degreased with lukewarm soapy water. They are sprayed off the model, mounted on a stick, and only then is the armament glued to the pylons. A light base shade at this scale calls for fine atomizing, or it will fill the engraved lines on the body. The deployed surfaces have their own position; before gluing them it is sensible to look at photographs of carriers with a similar load, so that the result matches the real arrangement under the wing.
The carrier of the munitions has to be obtained from another offer.
