A triangular pennant measuring 25 x 110 mm for wooden ship models. There are two pieces in the package.
Responsibility details are not available.
A pennant is a long narrow flag of triangular shape that flies from the top of a mast or from a yard on a ship. On a model it is a small thing, but one that cannot be overlooked: a finished hull with rigged masts only looks complete once a piece of flying cloth can be seen on it as well. The size of 25 x 110 mm matches the narrow elongated shape of classic masthead pennants.
The package holds two pennants of the size given. A pair suits a build where more than one mast is fitted out, and also covers the case of the first piece being damaged during handling. It is an accessory for wooden ship models, so it suits builds where the details are added one at a time and the builder chooses what to fit the model out with.
First check on the plan of the model where the pennant belongs according to the subject and how high up the mast it should be. Fit it only once the rigging is finished, otherwise it is easily bent or soiled during the work that follows. Fix the pennant so that its lower edge stays straight and the upper one lies against the line or the mast. Choose a suitable glue according to the material the pennant is made of and apply it only in a small amount to the edge of the attachment. Waving the pennant can suggest the wind, but shape it carefully and always in one direction, so that the flags on the model do not each point a different way.
Two pennants of the size given are supplied. The ship model, the mast, the rigging, glue and paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
