A set of colored three-dimensional interior elements for the Hawker Typhoon Mk.IB in 1:72 scale, intended for the Airfix kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Hawker Typhoon was a British single-seat fighter that in the end made its name mainly as a ground-attack machine. You recognize it by its massive fuselage, the powerful Napier Sabre H-24 piston engine and its thick wing. The Mk.IB version carried four twenty-millimeter cannon in the wing.
The set replaces the flat molded cockpit detail with colored elements that have real thickness: the instrument panel with legible dials, the side panels with their levers and the equipment of the pilot's compartment. The colors and lettering are printed at the factory, so the tiny instruments do not have to be painted. The set is prepared for the kit from Airfix.
The elements belong on the cockpit parts before the fuselage is glued together. Clean and degrease the area beforehand and sand off the original molded detail, so that the new element seats over its whole area. The method of application differs between ranges, so check it in the manufacturer's instructions beforehand. On the Typhoon the work pays off all the more because the large canopy gives a good view into the interior.
The set suits modelers who want a convincing cockpit even in a small scale without painting dials. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
