An injection-molded plastic model of the Swedish multirole combat aircraft Saab JAS-39 Gripen in 1:72 scale from Italeri. The boxing contains plastic parts, a clear part for the canopy and a decal sheet, which as a rule allows aircraft in the markings of several operating countries to be built.
The Saab JAS-39 Gripen is a single-engine multirole fighter of Swedish design, laid out to carry out fighter, attack and reconnaissance tasks, which is where the JAS abbreviation comes from. Its characteristic feature is the aerodynamic concept of a delta wing with canards, which gives the aircraft high agility. The Gripen is known for undemanding operation and for the ability to operate from short road strips, and it serves with several air forces in Europe and beyond.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic, fill the joints and sand them down. Apply a primer before painting; the Gripen's modern gray schemes benefit from subtle panel shading and detail picked out with a wash. Fit the underwing stores and the drop tanks according to the instructions.
