Injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian two-seat Kamov Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopter in 1:72 scale from Zvezda. The box contains plastic sprues including clear parts and a decal sheet. It is a manageable aviation project with a striking modern subject.
The Kamov Ka-52 Alligator is the two-seat variant of the single-seat Ka-50. The crew sit side by side and the machine keeps the characteristic coaxial twin main rotor with no tail rotor to counter the torque, which gives it high agility. The Ka-52 is fitted with extensive avionics and radar equipment for use by day and by night and in poor weather. It carries a wide arsenal of guided and unguided weapons, and its vital parts are heavily armored.
Work with thin cement for plastic and finish the cockpit with its side-by-side seats before you close up the fuselage. Apply a primer before painting and put the paint on with an airbrush. Leave the coaxial rotors for the end of the build. With modern camouflage schemes, restrained emphasis on the panel lines and light wear on the leading edges will help.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
