A plastic kit of the two-seat training version of the British jet fighter Gloster Meteor T.7 in 1:72 scale. The model captures the trainer variant of the Meteor with a tandem two-seat cockpit, which served to train pilots on jet aircraft. The exact contents of the package follow the given boxing.
The Meteor T.7 was the two-seat training derivative of the Meteor and was among the most widespread jet trainers of the 1950s and 1960s. It came about by lengthening the forward fuselage so that an instructor and a pupil would fit in tandem, while keeping the characteristic twin-engined layout and the robust structure of the Meteor. It served with the Royal Air Force and with a number of foreign users, and for many pilots it was their first encounter with jet power.
Glue the parts with a thin modeling cement for plastic and test the joints dry beforehand. Apply a primer before painting and use an airbrush; the long glazing of the two-seat cockpit is worth masking and painting separately. Training machines often carried striking, highly visible finishes — the combination of glossy metal areas and colored training markings comes out well with careful masking and a final fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
