A resin set of replacement wheels for a model of the Mil Mi-24 attack helicopter, or rather of its export Mi-35 version. It is not a helicopter kit but a detail accessory: it replaces the wheels from the plastic box with more accurate castings with sharper rendering of the tire tread pattern, the hubs and the brakes. The tire and the hub are usually arranged so that they can be masked and painted separately. The set is intended for more advanced modelers who want a more faithful landing gear.
The Mi-24, NATO reporting name Hind, is a Soviet and Russian attack helicopter that combines the firepower of an attack machine with the ability to carry an airborne squad. The Mi-35 is a modernized export version operated by a number of countries. The heavy fuselage and service in harsh conditions place considerable demands on the landing gear and the tires.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Resin is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the tires dark gray rather than deep black and add dust and dirt according to the setting; choose the hubs according to the particular machine. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
It is supplied as an unpainted resin wheel set for more experienced modelers. It is not a helicopter model; the plastic kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
