Eduard masks C6N Saiun 1:48 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for the model of the Japanese C6N Saiun reconnaissance aircraft. It gives sharp color divisions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is meant for the plastic model of the Japanese Nakajima C6N Saiun carrier reconnaissance aircraft, known to the Allies under the reporting name Myrt. It is neither a kit nor a model of its own but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color divisions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without lengthy cutting of tape by hand.
The Nakajima C6N Saiun is a Japanese single-engined carrier reconnaissance aircraft of the end of the Second World War. It was designed for fast long-range reconnaissance and, thanks to its high speed, could escape enemy fighters. The long multi-seat cockpit with its extended glazed canopy is the most demanding part to mask.
Degrease the glazing of the long canopy carefully. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them systematically onto the individual frames, pressing them into the edges. Tune the transitions with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats so that it does not seep under the edge. The wheel masks separate the tire from the hub. Once the paint has dried, peel them off carefully at a sharp angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
