Reskit QRC 80-01 ECM pod with pylon for the F-111 (1:72)

A 3D printed resin accessory from Reskit in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but the QRC 80-01 electronic warfare (ECM) jamming pod together with the pylon on which it is carried under the aircraft. The accessory refines the carried equipment of a model of the General Dynamics F-111 bomber.

The real subject

The General Dynamics F-111 was an American two-seat tactical and strategic bomber with a variable-geometry wing. For its protection it external electronic warfare pods that jammed enemy radars and guidance systems.

Building and painting tips

Wash the parts free of uncured print resin, separate the 3D print supports carefully and bond them with cyanoacrylate (super glue). Sand with respiratory protection. The detail comes out well after a coat of primer and shading.
