Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the American RF-101C Voodoo photo-reconnaissance aircraft in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Valom. Besides the plastic sprues the box contains photo-etched and resin parts. It is a short-run kit that is not intended for beginners — it calls for a little extra craft.
The RF-101C was the reconnaissance version of the supersonic McDonnell F-101 Voodoo fighter. Instead of radar and cannons it carried a set of photographic cameras in a reshaped nose. It was the only Voodoo version to see combat and, thanks to its long slim fuselage, it played a significant part in reconnaissance flights over Vietnam.
Wash the resin parts to remove the mold release agent before gluing, cut off the casting blocks and fit them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); fold the photo-etched parts over a blade edge and attach them with cyanoacrylate glue as well. Glue the plastic with thin cement and fill the joints once they are cleaned up. Metal surfaces come to life over a smooth base; pick out the engraved lines with a wash and even out the surface to match the real aircraft.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
