This is not an aircraft model but a resin detail set of replacement main landing gear wheels in 1:72 scale. The castings reproduce the three-spoke form of the hub, realistic flattening of the tire under load and faithful tread. The set is intended for models of the legendary Supermarine Spitfire fighter in this scale.
The Supermarine Spitfire was a British single-engine fighter, an icon of the Battle of Britain and one of the best-known aircraft of the Second World War. Several forms of main landing gear hub were used on it during its development; the three-spoke variant is one of the characteristic types.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The three-spoke hub comes into its own once painted and lightly shaded.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
