A package of two plastic kits in 1:72 scale: the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc and the Messerschmitt Bf 109F-4, that is, a pair of opponents from the early 1940s.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc was among the most numerous versions of the Spitfire. It was powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, a V12, and the so-called universal c wing made it possible to carry a combination of cannons and machine guns as needed. The Messerschmitt Bf 109F-4 had the Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine, likewise a V12, in its case inverted, rounded wingtips and a horizontal tail surface without external struts. The two types faced each other over the English Channel as well as over North Africa.
Two separate kits in 1:72 scale, one Spitfire Mk.Vc and one Bf 109F-4. The parts are injection molded in polystyrene, and a decal sheet and instructions for the build and for painting are included. These are models of ordinary kit difficulty, suitable even for a builder who is only gathering experience.
Separate the parts from the sprue with side cutters and sand the rest of the stub down, so that the seam closes up invisibly. They are glued with polystyrene cement. Paint and finish the cockpit and the interior before you glue the halves of the fuselage together. Mask the glazing of the canopy before spraying and take the mask off only once the varnish has dried. Apply the decals onto a gloss surface, otherwise a matte edge will appear under them.
For a modeler who wants to build a pair of adversaries for one display case, and for anyone looking for a classic theme in a small scale. The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted, and paints, glue and tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
