A plastic kit of the Soviet T-80 light tank in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian maker UM (UniModels). The model is supplied as injection-molded plastic to be assembled and painted. It is a vehicle closely related to the T-70 tank, and it can be built with all the characteristic features of the late version.
The T-80 was the next stage in the development of the Soviet T-70 and T-70M light tanks. The most striking change was a two-man turret, which eased the commander's workload. The turret allowed greater gun elevation, so the 45 mm gun could also engage low-flying targets. The tank was built in only small numbers toward the end of the service of light tanks of this type.
We recommend liquid cement for plastic and finishing the running gear carefully before you close the hull. The proven sequence is a primer, a uniform Soviet protective green with an airbrush, and then washes and pigments to bring out the detail and the weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
