An injection-molded plastic kit of the Czechoslovak single-engine two-seat trainer Zlin Z-42M in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. It belongs to the line of easy-build models with a low part count and a nicely done clear canopy, so it suits beginners and a quick build too. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
The Zlin Z-42 is a single-engine two-seat trainer produced by the Moravan Otrokovice works. It serves for basic and advanced training, for practicing basic aerobatics, for instrument and night flying and for towing gliders. The Z-42M version of the early 1970s brought a revised tail surface and a constant-speed propeller with adjustable blades in place of the original variable-pitch propeller. The aircraft became the backbone of training in the flying clubs and proved itself by its reliability and its pleasant flying qualities. It belongs to the successful family of Zlin trainers.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic. Finish and paint the cockpit before closing the fuselage, and fit the clear canopy only at the end. A base coat will even out the surface; apply the striking flying club schemes with colored stripes with an airbrush and complete them with the decals. A fine wash will pick out the panel lines, and a matte or semi-gloss varnish will unify the model.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
