A set of German Second World War reconnaissance vehicles in 1:76 scale in injection-molded plastic. The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
Reconnaissance units had the job of finding out where the enemy was and what he was doing before a clash came about. They therefore relied on speed, range and communications rather than on armor and firepower, and their vehicles differed from combat vehicles at first glance. Machines like these are rewarding in a diorama: they give the scene a story and do not look like a parade.
A set of German reconnaissance vehicles in 1:76 scale in injection-molded plastic. The exact composition, the number of vehicles and the extent of the decals are given in the instructions and on the packaging. The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted, so paints and glue have to be bought separately.
Parts in this scale are small and fragile, so separate them with nippers and sand the sprue nub down with a fine file. Before painting, wash the models in lukewarm water with detergent so that no greasy film from your hands is left on the surface. The tried and tested procedure is a base shade, a darker wash into the seams and a dry brush on the edges; leave the suspension and the underside dusty and the upper surfaces clean, otherwise the vehicle looks as if it had been pulled out of the mud whole.
The set suits diorama builders and tabletop gamers who work in a scale close to OO railway gauge. It will also be appreciated by anyone looking for supporting vehicles for a scene who does not want to buy several separate kits. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
