Revell 381 Brown is a modeling paint, not a kit. It comes from the Revell Email Color range, which are synthetic enamel paints on a solvent base, so not an acrylic. The shade is a medium saturated brown (the manufacturer lists it with a reference to RAL 8025) and the degree of gloss is silk. The jar has a volume of 14 ml.
Revell offers several brown shades and they are easily confused. 381 Brown is the general-purpose earthy brown for mud, equipment, leather and camouflage. If you need a color whose main job is to imitate wood, such as decks, stocks or crates, reach instead for the shade 382 Wood brown. The difference lies in the undertone: 381 is dirtier and earthier, 382 leans toward a warmer wooden brown.
For builders of military vehicles, figures and dioramas who work with enamel paints. Enamels have excellent adhesion, level their own brush strokes and take later washes, so they suit patina and earthy effects. It is thinned with mineral spirits or with Revell Color Mix thinner, never with water.
Warning: a flammable liquid. The vapors may irritate the airways, so make sure the area is well ventilated and use respiratory protection when spraying with an airbrush. Keep out of the reach of children and away from sources of ignition.
