50 light blue gloss

Revell Aqua Color 50, Light Blue, gloss (18 ml)

A light blue shade from the acrylic Aqua Color line by the manufacturer Revell. It is a water-thinnable acrylic paint in a pot of 18 ml, not a synthetic enamel. Shade number 50 has, according to the manufacturer, a gloss surface and corresponds to shade RAL 5012. The paint is thinned with water or with Aqua Color Mix, which also slows drying in an airbrush. This is a modeling paint; it is not a kit.

Do not confuse the lines: Revell runs the same shade numbers in the enamel (solvent-based) line as well. The enamel version has a different volume, is thinned with Color Mix and cannot be thinned with water. If you are building with acrylics, reach for this acrylic variant.

Use

• Light blue areas on civilian equipment, accessories, interiors and small details.
• Modeling uses wherever a clean light blue with gloss is needed, for example car bodies, sky or the light undersides of aircraft.
• It is applied with a brush as well as an airbrush; for the airbrush thin the paint and spray in thin coats.
• A gloss surface is a suitable base under decals, which bed down better on smooth gloss and silver less.
• Light shades generally show better over a light base; spray dark plastic with a primer beforehand.

Who the paint is for

For modelers who prefer acrylics without the smell of solvents: the paint has only a slight odor, it is not flammable and the tools are cleaned with water. Thanks to its quick drying it can be overcoated after a short time, which beginners and advanced builders of aircraft, cars and civilian equipment alike will appreciate. The paint can be mixed with the other shades of the same acrylic line.

Safety: ensure adequate ventilation when spraying and protect your airways (a respirator). Keep out of the reach of children. Close the pot properly after use so that the paint does not dry out.
