The KAB-1500L guided bomb in 1:72 is a 3D-printed armament set for models of Soviet and Russian aircraft. It is a stores accessory, not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set in 1:72 scale from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models, which devotes itself to accessories for models of Soviet and Russian combat hardware. It holds a corrected bomb of the 1500 kg weight class with laser guidance, printed from photopolymer. It adds a realistic load of stores to a finished kit and is not an aircraft model itself.
The KAB-1500L is the laser-guided version of the family of corrected bombs of the 1500 kilogram class. The semi-active seeker guides on the reflection of a laser beam with which the target is illuminated by the carrier or by a forward air controller, so the illumination has to last until impact. The bomb is meant for destroying fixed and hardened targets and is carried by tactical bombers and multirole aircraft.
The parts are printed from photopolymer, so thin print supports are left on them. Cut them away with a sharp scalpel or photo-etch nippers and sand the pad they leave with fine abrasive paper. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue, because polystyrene cement has no effect on this material. Lay down a filler primer before painting; it will at the same time reveal any remains of the supports. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
