Responsibility details are not available.
An add-on set in 1:72 scale from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models, which concentrates on accessories for models of Soviet and Russian combat hardware. It holds a high-explosive fragmentation bomb of the 100 kilogram class, printed from photopolymer. It is meant to be hung under a finished model and does not make up an aircraft model on its own.
The OFAB-100-120 is a classic Soviet high-explosive fragmentation aerial bomb. The designation combines the 100 kilogram class with an actual weight of about 120 kilograms. It works by a combination of blast and splinters, so it is meant against troops, lightly protected equipment and area targets. Bombs of this class were routinely hung several at a time on multiple ejector racks, so a single carrier could lift a large number of them.
The parts are printed from photopolymer, so thin print supports are left on them. Cut them away with a sharp scalpel or photo-etch nippers and sand the pad they leave with fine abrasive paper. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue, because polystyrene cement has no effect on this material. Lay down a filler primer before painting; it will at the same time reveal any remains of the supports. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
