A set of paints put together for German armored vehicles of the Second World War. The shades are chosen to cover the finishes a modeler meets most often on German vehicles of that period and to work together. How many bottles the set contains, what volume they hold and which particular shades they are, is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
German vehicles at first wore a uniform dark gray finish. From 1943 a dark yellow became the base, over which patches of green and brown were added. The pattern was often completed by the crews at unit level, so it differed from vehicle to vehicle according to what the paint was applied with and how. There is therefore no single correct rendering for German equipment, and the modeler has a good deal of freedom when painting.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the instructions stated by the manufacturer on the packaging and do not go by habit from another range, as each has a different binder. Wash and degrease the surface and give it a primer coat, otherwise the paint will hold poorly on a smooth surface. Apply it in thin layers and let them dry. Spray the mottled pattern from close up and at low pressure so that the edges stay soft. Clean the brushes and the airbrush immediately after work; dried paint is considerably harder to remove.
