The set brings a 3D printed MBD3-U6-68 multiple ejector rack in 1:32 scale from Temp Models. It is neither a model of an aircraft nor a bomb but the link between the two: the rack is slung onto a pylon under the wing or the fuselage and carries several bombs at once by itself. Thanks to it an aircraft can lift more rounds of munition than it has pylons.
The MBD3-U6-68 is a Soviet multiple ejector rack on which up to six bombs can be carried. It is used on the aircraft of the Su-17 and Su-22 series, on the Su-24, the Su-25 and on the machines of the Su-27 family, that is the Su-30, the Su-33 and the Su-34, and also on the MiG-27. In design it is a load-bearing tube with lugs distributed along the sides and on the bottom, so the bombs hang in two or three planes. It is precisely this rack that gives photographs of Russian ground-attack aircraft their characteristically dense load.
The parts are printed from resin and are held only by thin supports. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel as close to the part as possible, sand the marks down with fine sandpaper and protect your airways while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint holds longer on a smooth print if you lay a thin coat of primer under it. Paint the underwing equipment separately and glue it onto the model only after the landing gear and the cockpit are finished.
The set is an addition to building a model, not a model in its own right. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
