The abbreviation JASDF in the name refers to the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, so the shade is aimed at their machines. It is a blue in the tone of shallow sea water, that is the lighter of the blue shades that appear on these aircraft. The finish is semi-gloss.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before work, the pigment settles at the bottom. Apply it in several thin coats and let the paint flash off between them; one heavy coat floods the engraved panel lines and brings out every unevenness of the base. An even surface over the large areas of the wings and the fuselage is easier to reach with an airbrush. The paint is thinned with the thinner intended for the Mr.Color line, not with water, and the same thinner is used to clean the brush and the gun immediately after work.
Blue schemes tend to be composed of several shades of blue side by side, so it pays to work from the lighter to the darker and to handle the transitions with a mask or with free spraying according to the subject. Stick the mask onto dry paint and peel it off slowly and at an angle. Under decals an intermediate coat of gloss varnish proves its worth, and once they have settled the sheen of the whole area is evened out with a final varnish. Try the shade beforehand on an offcut of plastic and judge it in daylight.
The package contains the paint only. Thinner, masks, brushes, an airbrush and a model are not part of it, unless stated otherwise. Work in a well-ventilated room and store the paint carefully closed and out of the reach of children.
