A sheet of flowering meadow measuring 20 x 30 cm with growth 8 to 18 mm high. A scenery accessory for dioramas, layouts and bases.
Responsibility details are not available.
Grass foliage in the flowering meadow version, designated Type 17. The sheet measures 20 x 30 cm, that is 600 square centimeters of area, and the growth is 8 to 18 mm high. The uneven height is deliberate here: a real meadow is not trimmed, and it is precisely the difference between lower and taller tufts that makes the growth a meadow rather than a carpet.
It suits dioramas with vehicles and with figures, model railroad layouts and bases under models. Colored flowers in the growth draw the eye to the spot you want to emphasize and at the same time give away the season of the scene. Work out in advance how much area you will cover: a sheet of this size is enough for a base or a section of a diorama, while a large area needs several, and the shade may differ slightly between packages.
Finish and paint the terrain first, because there is no putting things right under the growth. Trim the sheet to the shape you need with scissors, but do not run the edge in a straight line; an irregular, loosened edge blends into the surrounding terrain better than a hard edge. Glue with PVA glue or with a glue intended for scenery materials, and weigh the area down until the glue sets. Then break the transitions up with a fine scatter and individual tufts. The procedure and the recommended glue are given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
For builders of dioramas and layouts and for modelers who want to put a finished model on a scene rather than on a bare base.
The terrain, glue and model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
