A modeling paint from the Vallejo Model Color range, the dark version of the German camouflage green. One bottle is supplied.
Responsibility details are not available.
The abbreviations in the name stand for German camouflage green in the dark version. It is a muted green tone shifted toward gray with no brightness, that is, exactly what you need for the camouflage patches of German vehicles. The paint belongs to the Vallejo Model Color range, which modelers use mainly where the work is done with a brush.
From 1943 German vehicles were delivered in a uniform light base, and the crews sprayed or brushed patches of green and brown onto them in the field. The dark green is therefore one of the two colors with which such a scheme is completed. It also serves on crates, tarpaulins and equipment in a scene and on small items with figures, where it works as a darker counterpart to the field greens.
Shake the bottle thoroughly, as the pigment settles. Paint the patches with a soft brush carrying as little paint as possible, so that the edge stays soft, or spray them at low pressure; a sharp edge looks out of place on a patch. Apply the paint in thin coats, otherwise it fills the fine surface detail. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the instructions stated by the manufacturer on the packaging. Dark green tones go a little darker still once dry, so try the shade on a piece of plastic rather than straight on the model.
For builders of German vehicles who paint their own field camouflage and want a green that does not shout down its surroundings, and for figure painters who can use a dark green tone on equipment. Together with the light base and the brown it forms the trio that covers most late German schemes.
The paint alone is supplied. Brushes, thinner and clear coat are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
