The Kh-23 guided missile 1:32 is a 3D printed resin replica of a Soviet radio-command-guided air-to-ground missile, in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains a 3D printed resin replica of the Soviet Kh-23 air-to-ground guided missile, written X-23 in the supplier's name, in 1:32 scale. It is an accessory for the underwing armament, not a model of an aircraft. The print can manage the thin surfaces of the fins as well as the definition of the nozzle without the thickening a mold calls for.
The Kh-23 is a Soviet air-to-ground guided missile with radio command guidance, which the pilot steered onto the target by hand after launch with the help of a tracking flare in the tail of the missile. It came about in the second half of the 1960s and became the first series-built weapon of its kind in Soviet tactical aviation. It was carried by the MiG-23, the MiG-27 and the machines of the Su-17 line. Manual guidance required the aircraft to hold its course until the hit.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Assemble and paint the weapons separately and glue them onto the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces are not rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
