Gundam Metallic Marker Set 2 is the second package of metallic-keyed marker pens for details on models.
Responsibility details are not available.
The number in the name places this package as the continuation of the first metallic set. The pens carry paint with a metal look and pass it to the surface straight from the point. It is not a protective medium that would be applied over a finished coat.
A second package makes sense above all where the first range does not cover the shades of metal needed. A builder can thus tell various kinds of metal surface apart on one model according to the material the parts are meant to represent. The difference between a steel, a brass and a golden impression shows on a model more than you would expect, and a wider range makes it possible to capture it. What the exact tones inside are, though, the name does not say.
Metal particles need an undisturbed coat, so leave the stroke alone once applied and do not go over it again. Allow extra time for drying; a surface that feels dry to the touch may not yet take contact with a tool. Plan the work so that the metallic parts do not have to seat against each other anywhere until they are dry. When you want to combine metal with color areas, start with the colors and leave the metal look until the very end.
Metal shades come out best on a smooth, clean ground free of fingerprints.
