The R-15B-300 engine nozzles for the MiG-25 RB and RBT in 1:72 replace the plastic exhaust nozzles from the kit with printed parts. It is an accessory, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail set from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models in 1:72 scale, printed from photopolymer. It holds the exhaust nozzles of the R-15B-300 engines in the version for the MiG-25 RB and RBT reconnaissance and bomber aircraft. It replaces the coarse plastic nozzles from the kit, but it does not make up an aircraft model and does not replace one on its own.
The MiG-25 is powered by two R-15B-300 jet engines with afterburners. They are turbojets designed for long flight at high speed, which is matched by the large variable exhaust nozzle with rings of thin petals. The RB and RBT reconnaissance and bomber versions differed from the interceptors in their equipment and in some details of the rear end, so for them it is right to reach for a set cut precisely for them.
The nozzles are printed from photopolymer and are held on thin print supports. Cut them away with a scalpel and sand the pad, because every unevenness shows clearly in the mouth of a nozzle. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue. The inside of the nozzle is usually painted in metallic shades with heat staining toward blue-violet and brown; it shows best when laid over a smooth gloss base. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
