The second generation engine exhaust nozzles for the Su-57 in 1:48 scale are a 3D-printed resin accessory from Temp Models.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of exhaust nozzles for the engine carried as the type 30, intended for a Su-57 model in 1:48 scale, from the Russian brand Temp Models. This engine is being developed for the aircraft as the successor to the original powerplant and its nozzle has a strikingly different shape. Printing in resin manages the broken edge and the internal structure in one piece. It is not an aircraft kit but replacement parts.
The second generation powerplant for the Su-57 differs from the original engine most of all at the exhaust. The edges of the nozzle petals are serrated, a solution used on machines with a reduced radar return to scatter the return and to mix the gas stream better. For a modeler it is the most conspicuous external mark by which it can be told which development phase of the aircraft this is, and that is why the nozzles are offered as a separate item.
Release the nozzles from the supports with a scalpel and level the mating edge on abrasive paper on glass. The serrated edges are fragile, so handle the part by the body and not by the edge. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the inside before you fit the nozzle to the fuselage, and build the heat discoloration up in very thin layers.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
