The set brings 3D printed carrier devices for the upgraded Su-25SM ground-attack aircraft in 1:32 scale from Temp Models. They are neither weapons nor a model of the aircraft but the parts that are mounted between the pylon and the weapons. Against the set for the original Su-25 it matches the arrangement the upgraded version carries.
The Su-25SM is the upgraded form of the Su-25 ground-attack aircraft. The upgrade concerned mainly the cockpit equipment, the navigation and the targeting, so the aircraft can work with more accurate munitions and finds its way better at night. The changes were reflected in what hangs on the pylons and in which devices are used for it. For a modeler that is the reason why the manufacturer offers separate sets for the original and for the upgraded version.
The parts are printed from resin and are held only by thin supports. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel as close to the part as possible, sand the marks down with fine sandpaper and protect your airways while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint holds longer on a smooth print if you lay a thin coat of primer under it. Paint the carrier equipment separately and glue it onto the model only after the landing gear and the cockpit are finished.
The set is an addition to building a model, not a model in its own right. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
