The hydraulic loading cart 1:48 is a 3D printed resin model of a hydraulic cart for carrying and loading aircraft munitions, in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains a 3D printed resin model of a hydraulic loading cart, with which aircraft munitions are carried and loaded at an airfield. It is not a model of an aircraft but a piece of ground equipment for a diorama with Soviet or Russian machines. The print holds the frame, the lifting mechanism and the small controls.
Bombs and guided missiles weigh hundreds of kilograms, so they are not put under a wing by hand. A hydraulic cart serves for that: it picks the munition up, lifts it to the required height and makes it possible to line it up precisely under the pylon. The armorers work with it before every combat sortie and in photographs from the preparation of an aircraft it is to be seen right beside the munitions. In a diorama it explains what is going on around the machine.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Equipment beside an aircraft comes out best with weathering: a dark wash into the gaps, dust with dry pigment and scuffed spots suggested with a metallic shade.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
