A resin set of exhaust nozzles for the AL-31F engines of a Su-34 model in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. The manufacturer gives it as cut for the Su-34 kit from the brand Kitty Hawk. The second nozzle set from the same maker for the same aircraft is intended for the mold of another brand, so the target kit is the main distinguishing mark here. It is not an aircraft kit but replacement parts.
The Su-34 is powered by a pair of AL-31F engines, that is turbofan engines with an afterburner. The exhaust nozzle has a variable cross-section formed by an assembly of moving petals worked by external rods. On this aircraft both nozzles are clearly visible from behind, because a long tail extension separates them, and the plastic rendering from a kit usually does not do the job there.
Release the parts from the supports with a scalpel and level the mating edge on abrasive paper laid on glass. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the inside of the nozzle before you fit it to the fuselage. Build the heat discoloration up in very thin layers of transparent toning shades.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
