Gunze Mr.Color translucent modeling paint under the code CL05 in a pale brown shade. It serves for toning and glazes over a base, not for covering.

Pale Clear Brown is a pale brown shade in a translucent version. The word Clear in the name means that the pigment does not cover but lets light through: the resulting tone is made up of the base and the applied layer, so the same paint looks different over a light base than over a dark one. Every further layer deepens the tone, which lets the shade be built up without mixing. Pale brown suits wood and its highlights, yellowed glazing, amber light covers and a gentle warming of a surface that looks too cold.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. Choose the thinner intended for this line and keep the thinning ratio to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. Translucent paints are applied thinned and in thin layers; a heavy coat leaves patches and uneven edges. The base under a glaze has to be smooth and clean, because a translucent layer covers nothing and rather brings out every unevenness and fingerprint. Try both the thinning ratio and the number of layers on a test piece first.
It will be appreciated by modelers who work with shades in layers and want to fine-tune a surface rather than repaint it. This is a standalone paint, so it is tied neither to a scale nor to a particular model.
What is supplied is the paint alone. Thinner, brushes and a kit are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
