A sanding sponge sheet, 800 grit from the Polish maker Mirage Hobby. One piece. The flexible backing follows the curved surfaces of a model.

This is an abrasive material, not a kit. The sanding sponge sheet from the Polish maker Mirage Hobby has the abrasive applied to a flexible foam backing, so it conforms to the shape of the surface as you work. That is precisely the main difference from abrasive paper: on the fuselage of an aircraft, on the turret of a tank or on a rounded cowling, the sponge spreads the pressure and does not sand edges down flat. The 800 grit is among the fine, finishing ones.
For anyone who sands curved surfaces and does not want to level them flat. The 800 grit is fine, so it is not enough for taking off material or for leveling a larger amount of filler; take a coarser sheet for that. The sponge can be washed out and reused as long as the abrasive holds. It also suits sanding between coats of paint, where a very slight cut is needed. You can cut the sheet into smaller pieces to match the area you are working on and keep the rest for later, because for small details a whole sheet is needlessly large and harder to maneuver.
Sanding creates dust. Work with respiratory protection, especially when sanding resin or filler, and always wash the surface after work and let it dry before you paint. Keep out of the reach of children.
