The 1:72 Sukhoi Su-25 masking set at the ADVANCED level is an accessory to a kit: it contains pre-cut masks, not the parts of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package contains pre-cut self-adhesive masks for an Su-25 model in 1:72 scale. It is an accessory to a kit, which the set does not contain; the masks are cut for the Zvezda 7312 kit. The ADVANCED level lies between the basic and the widest variant on offer: it is more extensive than the basic set but does not go as far as the highest level. Anyone unsure what they need usually gets by with this middle course.
The Su-25 is a Soviet ground attack aircraft for close support of ground forces, powered by a pair of jet engines and built for toughness: an armored cockpit, simple maintenance and the ability to operate from field strips. The straight wing carries a large number of pylons. In the NATO reporting system the name Frogfoot is used. The model is commonly built in multicolored camouflage, where masking pays off a great deal.
Before masking, degrease the model and clear it of sanding dust; dirt beneath a mask writes itself into the edge. Lay the masks down dry, with no water and no extra adhesive. When spraying, choose several thin coats rather than one thick one; a thin coat does not create a step at the edge of a mask that could be felt with a fingernail after unmasking. Models of ground attack aircraft are often weathered heavily, so once the masks are off, check whether the edges need sanding gently with very fine abrasive paper before you start on washes and scuffing. Protect the unmasked cockpit against further work with a piece of paper tape.
The set is an accessory to a plastic kit, which it does not contain. Paints, glue and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
